April 1^st in English is April Fool's Day - in French it is Poisson D'Avril - April fish. The Foolish April Fish Campaign is a month long salmon awareness and fundraising campaign, with the tag line "we can no longer be so foolish with our fish". Coordinating with as many groups as possible, the idea is to get as many images of fish out there as possible in the month of April when salmon are making their seaward migration. The initiative includes a facebook profile picture challange, a fish button fundraiser (like poppies or ribbons), a "fish in the window" campaign directed at specific neighborhoods and a Foolish April Fish party. When we see fish everywhere we are reminded to care for them when they need to be cared for.

‘Act for Salmon Solutions’

1. Get as many businesses and personal homes as possible to display fish images in their windows during the month of April.
   
2. Sell Foolish April Fish Buttons and get other organizations and individuals to create and sell buttons, so there are as many people wearing fish as possible.
   
3. Organize and help other groups and people run co fundraisers called Foolish April Fish Parties.
4. Collect as many images as possible and have them displayed online, with different image challenges during the month of April.

• The Foolish April Fish Campaign aims to engage those who are not and to pursue initiatives that will help those already engaged to act further with greater impact

• The Foolish April Fish Campaign aims increase the overall amount of funds available for fundraising and help groups and individuals achieve their fundraising goals in co fundraisers
